A little bit about myself and what brought me to this journey of helping families sleep better.
My name is Kayla. I am a wife and mother to two sweet boys, Benjamin and Theodore. I work part time as a registered nurse and part time as a registered sleep consultant.
When I became a mother, I fell in-love with the parent community. The support that parents had for each other amazed me, and I wished that I had become a part of the club sooner.
As I struggled through the days, weeks, and months as a new mother, I felt overwhelmed, frustrated, and like I was doing everything wrong. Being extremely sleep deprived also seemed to exacerbate these feelings. Throughout my entire adult life, I was an amazing problem solver, however, my sons lack of sleep seemed to be the only problem that I wasn't sure how to solve. Every person I spoke with told me "Don't worry, it will get better," but you know what, it didn't. My mental health suffered, and I literally felt like I had tried everything and was at a complete loss.
In one of my late night searches of desperation, I came across the Sleep Sense Program. Within two nights my son had learned the necessary skills to sooth and fall asleep independently. I felt EMPOWERED!!!
I then looked into becoming a sleep consultant and what that all entailed. I felt with my nursing background and knowledge, moving forward was a great move.
Since that day I have been fortunate to empower many parents and families that have gone through many of the same struggles as myself.
Thank you so much for visiting my website and taking the time to reach out. I would love to be given the opportunity to work with you with whatever sleep disturbances are troubling you..
